Since we deployed our new website at webcastletech.com, I was wondering if we could change the design of footer navigation to a new level. So I did a study on the footer of modern websites . Smashing magazine blog have a list of footer designs in the web 2.0 websites. While some footer have only links, few blogs and corporate websites use the space for showing of their testimonials.

As everyone are tweeting, most of personal blogs contains the latest tweet updates from the author or at least a twitter bird photo. With web 2.0 concept, the footer was expected to contain tag clouds. But now a days, tag clouds have disappeared dramatically. Some people think that w3c button is mandatory in every designs and they place them even if the page is not validated.

Basically, footers need to provide users with the information they are looking for. So we have revamped our footer today and made more attractive than the old design.
